Films

I have produced a lot of films (videos) over the past 20 years. For a while, my main focus was to churn out these educational videos for public television and later for classroom use. During that time I also wrote and directed some really bad short films, but I learned a lot. In 2011, I took a break from production and have recently (in 2022) started working again. This time, I want to do things on my terms, working on shorts and features with purpose and meaning. Here are some of my most recent works.

Heat Waves (2008) was the last short film I worked on before taking my break. So 2008-2011 it was all educational videos. However, Heat Waves was a fun project to work on, and I consider it my best short film work during this period.
Love Letter (2021) was originally shot during my time in Amsterdam (2018-2019). I was lucky enough to work with some very talented Dutch actors. This film was re-released to festivals as a director’s cut in 2021 and won several awards.
Recycled Love (2022) is currently release for festivals as of the summer and fall of 2022. Read an article about me and this film. https://press.filmnet.io/interview/nick-pernisco-interview
A Room With A View (2022) is a project very close to my heart. It is about a young woman diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. The screenplay is based on the book I wrote, Parkinson’s Warrior. Read a Q & A about the film.
